NVY is a vetted platform for freelance models. You create your profile, apply to join and, if approved, you can be discovered and contacted directly by brands looking for models.
Experience is preferred, because we vet based on your portfolio, posing and proof that you can provide a quality service on set. If you are newer, you can still apply, but strong images and clear professionalism will help your application.
Every application is reviewed by multiple experienced industry professionals, including creative directors and photographers. We assess portfolio quality, posing, expression, variety of images, professionalism and any testimonials or references provided.
Acceptance is discretionary and based on whether we believe the model is a good fit for the platform and the types of work brands use NVY for.
Applications are reviewed collectively and never by a single individual. Multiple experienced industry professionals assess each application to ensure the process is considered and grounded in real on-set experience.
Clear images that show your face, body proportions and range. A mix of simple digitals and any test shoots, campaigns or editorials you have is ideal. Natural, clean images that show how you move and hold yourself on camera are important.
Yes. Models pay a monthly or annual fee to maintain an active profile on the platform and to support the ongoing operation, development and visibility of NVY.
The fee is not a guarantee of work, bookings or income.

NVY is a freelance platform, not an agency taking a percentage of your bookings. Your subscription supports the platform infrastructure, brand outreach, moderation and profile management.
Once a brand books you, you deal with them directly and keep what you earn.
Payment of a subscription fee does not guarantee work, bookings or income. The payment of a subscription fee maintains your profile online, a link you can send to potential jobs, add to your socials or email signature.
That depends on your contract. You need to check your agreements and ensure you are not in breach of any exclusivity. It is your responsibility to make sure you are allowed to work as a freelance model through NVY.
No. NVY connects you and the brand. You are responsible for your own rates, contracts, invoices and tax. We provide general guidance, but we are not a party to your agreements.

You and the brand agree on the payment terms directly. Payment does not go through NVY. Treat it as you would any freelance client, with your own invoice and written agreement.

NVY applies vetting processes to brands and promotes professional conduct on the platform. However, we cannot guarantee the behaviour or actions of individual users.
Models are encouraged to ask questions, use written agreements, set boundaries and decline work they are not comfortable with. You always remain in control of whether you accept a booking.

NVY is not responsible for payments or cancellations. We strongly recommend you use contracts, booking confirmations and cancellation terms. We may restrict or remove brands that repeatedly behave in bad faith.

Yes. You can cancel your subscription and request that your profile be removed. Some data may be retained as required by law, but your public profile will no longer be visible.

Models remain responsible for the content they upload, and NVY does not create, retouch or author images unless agreed separately.

That is fair. NVY is designed to be transparent. You control your profile, you set your boundaries and you keep ownership of your work. We focus on bringing the right brands into the space and maintaining standards so that everyone benefits over time.
Simply email us at hello@nvyindependent.com with your full name and your new photos and we will add these to your portfolio. As the platform grows, we will add new features, such as managing your own portfolio. For now, we are happy to accommodate any portfolio updates.

No booking fees are currently charged by NVY. Models pay a subscription fee to maintain their profiles on the platform. You pay models directly for their work.
NVY does not represent models, manage talent or negotiate on their behalf. We do not sit in the middle of contracts or payments. NVY provides a curated space for you to find vetted freelance models and collaborate with them directly on your own terms.
You contact models directly using the details provided on their profiles. We recommend sending a clear brief upfront, including shoot details, dates, rates and intended usage.
You are. NVY is a connection platform only. All agreements, contracts, usage rights, payments and legal obligations are between you and the model.

While NVY cannot guarantee performance on the day, models are vetted based on portfolio quality, experience and professionalism. Testimonials and references, where provided, offer additional context. Brands are encouraged to make their own assessments before booking.
Any issues that arise during or after a job are to be resolved directly between you and the model. NVY is not liable for disputes, cancellations, non-payment, delays or conduct on set.
If a serious concern is reported, NVY may review the relevant account and take action under our platform policies, which may include restriction or removal. NVY does not act as a mediator or arbitrator.
Usage rights and licensing must be agreed directly with the model and with any photographer or creative you engage. NVY does not own, license or control any content created.
