NVY was created by a Creative Director and photographer, after spending more than 18 years working with global brands, start-ups and everything in between…something had to change.
As the founder of MaloneCo—Studio, Justine has produced and art directed hundreds of campaigns and photoshoots. She has sat in the middle of every moving part on set, from client and concept, to lighting, logistics and talent. One thing kept coming up. Finding the right freelance models took too much time and energy, and the traditional agency route often did not fit the realities of modern brands.
For many start ups and smaller brands, agency fees and rigid contracts are simply not realistic. Clients felt stressed, out of pocket and limited in how much content they could create. Bigger budgets kept getting more visibility, while smaller brands with powerful ideas were left trying to piece things together. Not everyone has a group of friends who can model, and many founders are new to the industry. They need a safe, guided way to find people who know how to be on set.
NVY was built to close that gap.
NVY is a vetted space for freelance models who take their craft seriously and for brands that want trusted faces without spending months building a network.
Models create their own space on the platform, apply to join and, once approved, are visible to brands who are ready to book them directly. Brands can search, shortlist and connect with models in one place, then handle payment and project details on their own terms.
Every model on NVY is vetted by a small board of industry professionals, including a creative director, a photographer and fashion industry leaders. At least three people need to agree before a model goes live on the platform. This keeps the process fair and anchored in real experience. Portfolios, posing, professionalism and proof of quality work are all considered, with testimonials and past client work highly beneficial.
For models, NVY is a safe space to build a sustainable freelance career and to be seen by brands that respect their time and talent. For brands, it is a single, trusted place to discover experienced models who are ready to work.
